Communication systems: Home

Introduction

A communication system is a way of transferring information from one source to another. Transference can occur between two humans, a human and an animal or a human and a machine.

There are several types of communication systems including tactical, half duplex, duplex, optical and radio. Duplex communication systems involve two-way communication. Two-way communication can be conducted either in both directions simultaneously or in only one direction at a time. Tactical communication is evolving communication based on available resources. Radio communication systems transfer information via radio waves, and optical communication is assisted by light. Communication systems are constantly evolving; face-time or video chatting is changing the way that people can connect with others daily.
