The last decade brought about a growth in Islamic banking which was never witnessed before. This unprecedented development has followed privatization of nationalised banks, banking reforms brought about by the State Bank of Pakistan and an increasingly market oriented approach primarily aimed by banks at a large in the light of Shariah aspects.
