The main objective of this program is to produce effective leaders and scholars in health professions education, who can bring about reform in medical education at national and international level and then manage this change effectively. It endeavors to promote excellence in teaching & learning and broaden the horizon of rigorous research by generating communities of leaders and scholars.
Riphah International University is the major force behind initiation of reforms in Medical Education/Health Professions’ Education in Pakistan since 2006. The University has started its own Master Programme in Health Profession Education since 2014. The purpose of the Master of Health Professions Education (MHPE) program is to produce effective leaders and scholars in health professions education, who can manage the change & bring reform in medical education at national level and effectively direct the future health care delivery system. The Masters of Health Professions Education-Riphah provides an educational research foundation for teaching, assessment and leadership in health professions education. The MHPE curriculum is comprised of twelve courses which focus on the application of learning principles to educational practice. The post-graduation in Health Professions Education should be a credential for educational leadership.
