In mathematics, an integral equation is an equation in which an unknown function appears under an integral sign. There is a close connection between differential and integral equations, and some problems may be formulated either way.

Course Outline

Introduction; Classification of linear integral equations, Fredholm integral equations, Homogeneous Fredholm equations, Volterra integral equations of the first kind; Integro-differential equations, Fredholm integro-differential equations, Volterra integro-differential equations; Singular integral equations; Non-linear integral equations.
