Schmalenbach Journal of Business Research (SBUR) is the joint official journal of Schmalenbach-Gesellschaft für Betriebswirtschaft e.V. and Verband der Hochschullehrerinnen und Hochschullehrer für Betriebswirtschaft e.V. (VHB), replacing the associations‘ former official journals Business Research (BuR), Schmalenbach Business Review (SBR), and building on Schmalenbachs Zeitschrift für betriebswirtschaftliche Forschung (ZfbF). The three journals were merged to form SBUR and ceased to publish under their previous names. SBUR publishes in the English language only.

SN Business & Economics (ISSN: 2662-9399) is a multi- and interdisciplinary journal serving all areas of Business & Management, Economics, and Finance.The journal’s scope is inclusive: it is open to theoretical, empirical, and policy perspectives and encourages the submission of original research, review articles, case studies and replication studies.

The Journal of Business Ethics publishes only original articles from a wide variety of methodological and disciplinary perspectives concerning ethical issues related to business that bring something new or unique to the discourse in their field. From its inception the Journal has aimed to improve the human condition by providing a public forum for discussion and debate about ethical issues related to business. In order to promote a dialogue between the various interested groups as much as possible, papers are presented in a style relatively free of specialist jargon.FT 50 - This journal is one of the 50 journals used by the Financial Times in compiling the prestigious Business School research rank.

This book presents theories and case studies for corporations in developed nations, including Japan, for designing strategies to maximize opportunities and minimize threats in business expansion into developing nations. The case studies featured here focus on Asia, including China and India, and use examples of Japanese manufacturers. Five case studies are provided, including Hitachi Construction Machinery and Shiseido in China and Maruti Suzuki in India. These cases facilitate the reader’s understanding of the business environments in emerging economies.

Taking the business model as point of departure, this open access book explores how companies and organizations can contribute to a more sustainable future by designing innovative models that are both sustainable and profitable. Based upon years of research, it draws together theoretical foundations and existing literature on the topic of sustainable business alongside case studies and practical solutions. After examining the theoretical foundations of sustainable business model innovation, the authors present their own framework – RESTART. Consisting of seven factors, this framework can be the basis for restarting any business model. The final section outlines a research agenda for sustainable business informed by the perspectives and frameworks put forward in this book.

It is argued in most academic literature that Business Model (BM) is a general model for how any business runs or should be run, it is the "blueprint of the business". Conversely we argue that no business has just one BM, one model on which it runs all its business or intends to run its business. In other words the BM can be used for "as-is" and the "to-be" businesses. However our research, in contrast to the other BM frameworks, indicates that businesses have more BMs - both "as-is" and "to-be" BMs - the multi business model approach. This was already theoretically indicated by Markides and Charitou in 2004, and again in the Casadesus-Masanell and Ricart model of 2010, but sadly no one in the BM community has followed up on this since then. It could have made a breakthrough in our understanding of BMs, Business Model Innovation (BMI) and Strategic BMI.

As part of EFMD's fiftieth anniversary celebrations, its President, Professor Eric Cornuel, has edited this volume, featuring contributions from leaders in management education, including the presidents and deans of the top business schools from across the world.
