was established in 1976 by the eminent physicists of Pakistan. The main objective of PIP is to promote the advancement and dissemination of the knowledge of both pure and applied physics as well as to elevate the profession of physics. In this way PIP is playing its role for the improvement of physics education and research in Pakistan.

The American Physical Society (APS) is a nonprofit membership organization working to advance and diffuse the knowledge of physics through its outstanding research journals, scientific meetings, and education, outreach, advocacy, and international activities. APS represents more than 50,000 members, including physicists in academia, national laboratories, and industry in the United States and throughout the world.

The object of the Society is and shall be to contribute to and promote the advancement of physics, in Europe and in neighbouring countries, by all suitable means and in particular by providing a forum for the discussion of subjects of common interest and by providing means whereby action can be taken on those matters which appear desirable to handle on the international level.

The Institute of Physics (IOP) is the professional body and learned society for physics in the UK and Ireland, with an active role in promoting co-operation in physics around the world. We strive to make physics accessible to people from all backgrounds.

The German Physical Society (DPG) is open to everyone: students, professors, pupils, teachers, people working in industry or simply interested in physics. The DPG is a mouthpiece of physics and a contact point for people interested in physics. As a non-profit association, it does not pursue any economic interests. In the DPG, young scientists meet Nobel Laureates, interested people meet experts and young people meet older people. Together, they all form the world's largest physics society.

To assist in the worldwide development of physics, to foster international cooperation in physics, and to help in the application of physics toward solving problems of concern to humanity.

The Canadian Association of Physicists (CAP) is the voice of Canadian physics. The CAP is dedicated to highlighting achievements in Canadian physics and pursuing scientific, educational, public policy and communication initiatives that enhance the vitality of physics and physicists in Canada.
