Pharmacy Council of Pakistan is a professional body responsible for the registration of pharmacists and promotion of pharmacy education in the country. The Pharmacy Council Pakistan (PCP) is the regulator established in terms of the Pharmacy Act, 1967 to regulate pharmacists, pharmacy support personnel and pharmacy premises in Pakistan. Our mandate is to protect, promote and maintain the health, safety and wellbeing of patients and the public who use pharmaceutical services in Pakistan.

The American Pharmacists Association (APhA) is the only organization advancing the entire pharmacy profession. APhA leads the pharmacy profession by supporting pharmacists, student pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians in their role optimizing medication use and patient health outcomes and ensuring patients have access to pharmacists’ care. We do this through our strong and effective advocacy, top notch education, practice tools, and resources, dissemination of evidence, and opportunities for members to engage and learn from each other. APhA is the pharmacy voice at the table in developing national guidelines, policies, and best practices that advance the profession and patient care.

The National Pharmacy Association is the representative voice of independent community pharmacies across the UK and a leading provider of services to the entire sector. Our aim is to support independent community pharmacies to succeed professionally and commercially for the benefit of their patients. As a not-for-profit organisation we are committed to reinvesting in service provision.

The Pakistan Pharmacists Association (PPA) is the national professional body of pharmacists engaged in various facets of the profession of pharmacy. The PPA is committed to promote the highest professional and ethical standards of pharmacy, focus the image of pharmacist as competent healthcare, professionals, sensitize the community, Government and others on vital professional issues and support pharmaceutical education and sciences in all aspects.

Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Association came into existence on January 26 1961, and the Government of Pakistan through the Ministry of Commerce registered PPMA as the only Representative body of the Pharmaceutical Industry in the Country. The Government issued a Licence to this effect under Section 26 of the Companies Act, 1913 on July 18, 1961. The Association was formally incorporated under the Companies Act, 1913 by the Registrar of Joint Stock Companie

“On the evening of Monday, May 8, 1882, a group of pharmacists from across the state of Indiana met in the Bates House parlors in Indianapolis. These men, earnest in their conviction, had come to Indianapolis with the purpose of meeting the following day to establish a State Association of Pharmacy. The group of pharmacists who met at the Bates House parlors had come at the request of the druggists to participate in what would be the founding meeting of the Indiana Pharmaceutical Association. The convention on May 9, 1882 was where Hoosier pharmacists finally united under a single banner."
