Waves & Oscillations: Video Lectures

The MIT Physics Department’s mission is excellence in physics research and teaching. We tell the story of the physical universe to the world and doing so well means having all the world’s voices as part of our community. Our task is hard and we engage with great alacrity, but we recognize our work cannot compromise the health or well-being of students, postdocs, staff, or faculty in our community.

We aim to provide a community for students, scientists, educators or hobbyists to learn and discuss science as it is currently generally understood and practiced by the professional scientific community. Our main focus is physics, but we also cater to other STEM fields including engineering, chemistry, biology, mathematics, etc.

NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning), is a joint venture of the IITs and IISc, funded by the Ministry of Education (MoE) Government of India, and was launched in 2003. Initially started as a project to take quality education to all corners of the country, NPTEL now offers close to 600+ courses for certification every semester in about 22 disciplines.

Video Lectures is a website for academic talks launched February 6, 2007. It hosts free online video lectures from open learning incentives such as MIT OpenCourseWare, and many others. Its videos are from research subjects of Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Medicine, Philosophy, Physics, and mostly Computer Science.
