COURSE DESCRIPTION:

In this course two common diseases of the cardiovascular system are under study: Myocardial infarction and congestive cardiac failure. The students will understand the rational uses of different life-saving drugs with respect to these two diseases. The students will understand the core concepts of pharmacogenetics and genomics along with gene therapy.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

This course is designed to:

  • Discuss the lifesaving management of acute myocardial infarction, and CCF
  • Rationalize the use of gene therapy in different diseases.

  • Drug management of acute myocardial infarction
  • CCF management.
