Sports Physical Therapy is a specialized practice that focuses on prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement of the physically-active individual.

Course description

The main focus of this course is related to understanding the role of physical therapists in both the industrial continuum and sports physical therapy. Emphasis is placed on acute management of traumatic injuries and/or sudden illness. In addition, injury prevention with an emphasis on the advanced clinical competencies related to the practice of sports physical therapy will also be covered.
