Introduction to Literature (ENG-202 ): Association and Societies

As a society, we endeavour to showcase and nurture Aberdeen's literary talent. Included in your membership is free entry to all of our monthly performance nights. Our membership fee is cheaper than many secondhand books, so don't hesitate to join us; we're a great bunch and a good laugh.
The most popular event which we run is the monthly performance night at The Blue Lamp. We are enthusiastic about creating a platform for both creative writers and performers who want to share their work, not necessarily confined to the literary but also encompassing the musical, with a lovely and encouraging audience.

The Undergraduate English Literature Association is a student-run organization that focuses on designating a safe space for students to express their passion for literature and practice their creativity outside of the classroom. UELA prioritizes offering BU students opportunities to expand learning and develop close relationships with peers. Our goal is to provide BU students ways to enjoy literature and apply it to their personal and professional lives. To achieve our goal, we host about five events each semester. These events would include networking events with alumni and career professionals, socials, book clubs, and volunteer opportunities within the Boston community. Community development is essential, and we are motivated to offer more promotion for literature-based activities and events.
