Course Description

Course Description: This course will provide basic understanding of the main types of clinical reasoning, Transform a patient's story into a meaningful clinical problem. This course will enlist several classic diagnostic errors and how to avoid them. It will also prioritize diagnostic testing for a virtual patient in small groups. It will help in practice formulating a differential diagnosis, assessment and a prioritized plan for the standardized patient.

• Application of knowledge to clinical problem solving in order to identify and meet clients’ needs and formulate management rationales; 

• Definition and scope of counselling, the place of empathic responding, and the application of counselling skills in speech and language contexts, with specific reference to adults with acquired neurological communication disorders;
