The core objective of this course is to develop an in-depth understanding of augmentative alternative communication (AAC). The principles and functions of augmentative and alternative communication as well as identification of potential AAC users will be discussed. It will explain the assessment and interpretation of assessment data and determine treatment strategies. This course will apply knowledge about ethical considerations and professional issues.
