This course provides physiotherapists with a background about the structures of nervous tissue. This course describes the development process of nervous tissue includes brain and spinal cord, basic structural unit of brain, the function of neuron and the different parts of brain and spinal cord. It also provides the physiological process in the brain and spinal cord and the relationship of anatomy and physiology of nervous tissue. It gives the knowledge that can be used for clinical reasoning in clinical decision making process. Specific contents include the anatomy, physiology and clinical knowledge of spinal cord, brain stem, cerebral cortex, cerebellum, basal ganglia and pons and medulla.
