The course deals with the Basic ethical values presented by Islam for all commercial Transactions. It deals basically with the moral aspect of business derived from the Holy Quran, Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (SAW) and thoughtful discussion of the Jurists. In the Course view of different jurists over different moral business issues are critically analyzed. In Addition, the course analyzes concepts and cases related to business ethics in terms of market, marketplace, environment, consumer etc by Velasquez. to understand how business ethics principles are defined according to current times. It also gives an overview to Islamic concept of quality and its management in all processes of life.
Riphah International University, Islamabad is a private University, chartered by the Federal Government of Pakistan in 2002. The University was established with a view to produce professionals with Islamic moral and ethical values. It is sponsored by a not-for-profit trust; namely Islamic International Medical College Trust (IIMCT), created in 1995. The first project of the IIMCT was the Islamic International Medical College, Rawalpindi, established in 1996 by its Founding Managing Trustee; Maj. Gen. (Retd.) Muhammad Zulfiqar Ali Khan, TI(M), TBt (Late).
The emphasis in this course is to introduce the students to the concepts of Business Ethics presented by Islam. This is achieved by the creation of awareness in the students regarding the business Ethics in Islam so to able them to implement such ethical values in the contemporary commercial markets.
