Rehabilitation engineering is the use of engineering science and principles to develop technological solutions and devices to assist individuals with disabilities, and aid the recovery of physical and cognitive functions lost because of disease or injury

Course Outline

Overview, Design and Prescription of prosthetic limbs, orthotic, seating & positioning systems.
Introduction to injuries, disability, human movement, kinesiology.
Biomechanics, Gait analysis, prosthetics, orthotics and mobility assist technology.
Improvement of performance and prevention of injuries.
