Pakistan Culture and Society: Associations

The United Nations is an international organization founded in 1945. Currently made up of 193 Member States, the UN and its work are guided by the purposes and principles contained in its founding Charter. The UN has evolved over the years to keep pace with a rapidly changing world. But one thing has stayed the same: it remains the one place on Earth where all the world’s nations can gather together, discuss common problems, and find shared solutions that benefit all of humanity.

Welcome to the International Association for Social Science and Humanities (IASSH) established with the aim of creating a community of stakeholders to investigate contemporary issues and problems of social change and respond to them appropriately and timely in order to ensure that communities are adequately equipped to address the adverse impacts of changes on vulnerable communities and help build a more equitable, peaceful and just world.

Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust is a national, independent, non-parochial academic institution for projecting the Ideology of Pakistan as enunciated by our Founding Fathers, Allama Muhammad Iqbal and Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. It was established in 1992 by Punjab’s then Chief Minister Ghulam Haider Wyne along with other veterans of Pakistan Movement.

The Society in its working draws inspiration from seven fundamental principles of the ‘Movement’, namely: Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntary Service, Unity and Universality. Pakistan Red Crescent (PRC) is a statutory body constituted and governed by an “Act of Parliament”. It was founded in Pakistan on December 20, 1947 by an Order called “The Pakistan Red Cross Order” issued by Quaid-e-Azam, as Governor General of Pakistan and Founding President of the Society.
