Course description:
This course will integrate and critically evaluate areas of pathophysiology relevant to the theory and practice of physiotherapy in women’s health.
Learning objectives:
To describe normal functioning of reproductive system of female during different stages
of life.
To understand fetal and neonatal physiology.
To illustrate pathophysiology of complications of pregnancy
To illustrate pathophysiology of micturition and defecation.
To differentiate maternal musculoskeletal disorders.
To illustrate pathophysiology of osteoporosis, lymphatic disorders, CAD and
musculoskeletal disorders during middle years and beyond.
