The course is design to orient the Psychology student’s Historical Perspective for understanding current issues of social welfare and Social Work. It will help students to examine the Social, Political, and Economic Forces that explain the Development of Social Welfare and Social Work.
Social work is a practice-based profession and an academic discipline that prioritizes human well-being and aims to help meet basic and complex needs of all people, with a particular focus on those who are vulnerable, oppressed, and living in poverty.
Social work research focuses on or confines itself to select aspects of behaviour and alternate models of behaviour modifications. Social work research helps to find ways and means to enhance social functioning at the individual, group, community and societal levels.
