Course descriptions

This course covers the study of common diagnostic and therapeutic imaging tests. At the end of the course students will be aware of the indications and implications of commonly used diagnostic imaging tests as they pertain to patient‘s management.

Learning objectives

  1. Describe in detail examination and understanding of radiological imaging (X-Rays) of Extremities, Spine and Chest.
  2. Explain briefly an overview of radiological imaging including Mammography, Fluoroscopy, Computer Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, Nuclear Medicine and Interventional Radiology.
  3. Explain briefly indications to prescribe X-Rays, Mammography, MRI and Ultrasound.
