- Karyotyping
- Fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH)
- Chromogenic in situ hybridization (CISH)
- Analysis of amniotic fluids and various DNA tests.
- Maternal serum testing
- Use of Chorionic Villous Sampling for the detection of chromosomal and genetic disorders
