Hadith refers to the recorded sayings, actions, and approvals of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), serving as a primary source of Islamic teachings alongside the Quran. The Sciences of Hadith involve the study of their authenticity, chains of narration (isnad), and text (matn). This field ensures the reliability of Hadith through rigorous methodologies, including examining narrators' credibility and consistency. It encompasses various disciplines like Mustalah al-Hadith (terminology) and Ilm al-Rijal (study of narrators). These sciences preserve the integrity of Islamic tradition and guide religious practice.
