After learning this course the student should be able to;  

  •  Understand the difference between speech and language
  •  Recognize a person who can benefit from a Speech Generating Device (SGD)
  •  Refer to a SLP with AAC skills and knowledge.
  • Recognize types of SGDs and their features along with typical control interfaces
