This course includes a discussion on basic quantitative methods and designs, including concepts of reliability and validity

Learning Outcomes

On the completion of this course, the students will be able to:

 Demonstrate a thorough understanding of different research designs, including experimental, quasi-experimental, descriptive, and correlational designs.

 Develop the ability to formulate clear, researchable questions and hypotheses.

 Understand the principles and application of mixed methods research to address complex research questions.

 Identify and differentiate between qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods research.

 Understand the characteristics, strengths, and limitations of each research type.

 Synthesize research findings to support evidence-based practice and policy recommendations.

 Identify and address ethical issues in research, including informed consent, confidentiality, and the protection of vulnerable populations.

 Develop strong academic writing skills for producing research reports, theses, dissertations, and scholarly articles.
