This course reviews the Pakistan’s statistical system and its goals. The federal statistical agencies (Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, National Institute of Population Studies and NADRA) are described, and their primary missions and data collections (both surveys and administrative records) are examined. The effects of the decentralized system are considered. The statistical systems of other country is compared with other countries. Organizational and budgetary aspects are presented. Statistical techniques and terms common to the Pakistan Statistical System are introduced.
