Course Description

Total Quality Management (TQM) concepts and definitions of quality and system.  The basic definition of inspection, inspector qualification, Types of inspections, Measurement Instruments and gauges (mechanical, electrical, electronic, and hybrid), Areas, and phases of inspections. Selecting quality parameters/characteristics for inspection including limits, tolerances, and fits. Product standards and institutions responsible for making it (national and international standards), in-process and off-process inspection, stage inspections, Performance tests (destructive and non-destructive tests), Statistical Quality Control, and its charts for both variable and discrete data. System standards for quality assurance, its clauses, responsibility, and organization.
