Course Description
Medicinal and pharmaceutical chemistry focuses on the interaction between chemicals and organisms. Many chemists in this field work on discovering new drugs and sometimes specialize in a specific area of research, such as creating antibiotics or determining how drugs react to the body. Medicinal chemists have extensive knowledge of the relationship of chemical reactions and biology and work on developing effective drugs for people. They possess writing skills, critical-thinking abilities and employ strategies to solve new and complex problems with medications. This course offers you the opportunity to study chemistry as a major subject in courses which also contain subjects allied to the medical and pharmaceutical industries. Year 1 provides you with a sound basis of the core areas.

Islamic International Medical College (IIMC) is a private sector medical Institution established in 1996 Pakistan with a unique vision of combining Islamic medical education with ethical values. Its mission is to produce Pharmacists Which have been equipped with best knowledge of medical sciences as well as are good Muslim practitioners. It offers five years basic and Pharmacy training leading to the degree of Pharm-D (Doctor of Pharmacy). The college is working under the umbrella of Riphah International University (RIU) recognized by the Pakistan Pharmacy council.
